Kalisher-Oxford Criminology Scholarships
For the past five years, The Kalisher Trust has supported students on the Oxford MSc in Criminology & Criminal Justice by providing an annual award towards the cost of their university fees. In addition to a scholarship of £6,000, a mentor from the Kalisher Trust––a criminal barrister––will assist the scholar in development of their advocacy skills and provide opportunities for work experience.
The scholarship has been supported by Wadham College, who pay for the scholars’ college fees. A second Kalisher-Oxford Criminology scholarship has been supported by St Cross College in 2021-22 and Worcester College in 2022-23.
The Kalisher-Oxford Criminology Scholarships aim to provide an opportunity to potential entrants to the Criminal Bar of England & Wales to broaden their knowledge and expertise. It provides support to those from modest backgrounds who would not otherwise be able to study at Oxford. Awards are made to those who can demonstrate intellectual ability, motivation to succeed at the Criminal Bar, potential as an advocate and are in financial need.
