DPhil student Lucy Tu wins international science communication award

Lucy Tu, a DPhil student at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, has been named the Top Prize Winner in the Research Scientist: Graduate Student category of the 2026 Eric and Wendy Schmidt Awards for Excellence in Science Communications.

Presented by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in partnership with Schmidt Sciences, the awards recognise outstanding communication of complex scientific issues to the wider public.
