Dr Vilija Vėlyvytė, British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at Oxford Law Faculty, has recently published a book titled Judicial Authority in EU Internal Market Law: Implications for the Balance of Competences and Powers (Hart Publishing 2022). The book examines how the Court of Justice of the European Union expands EU competences through the interpretation of EU internal market law. To learn more about the book, read this blog post.

The event will be held on Friday, 03 February 2023, 5 PM - 6.30 PM. It will involve contributions from Professors Jeremias Adams-Prassl (Oxford), Sacha Garben (College of Europe), Vasiliki Kosta (Leiden) and Jan Zglinski (LSE). The panel discussion will be followed by a drinks reception.

As usual, this event will be hybrid. For those of you in Oxford, please come to the Platnauer Room, Brasenose College. For those planning to come from outside Oxford, note that train strikes have been announced to take place on the 3rd of February, so you might want to book your bus tickets in advance (for London-Oxford connections, see here).

For those of you who want to join online, we will send you a Teams link a day before the webinar.

Whether you come in person or online, registration is compulsory.
