Professor Dan Sarooshi Q.C. selected as a member of the panel of arbitrators to hear disputes arising from the UK-EU Withdrawal Agreement.

The UK Government and the EU have selected Professor Dan Sarooshi Q.C. of the Oxford Law Faculty and The Queen's College, Oxford as a member of the panel of arbitrators to hear disputes arising from the UK-EU Withdrawal Agreement. Professor Sarooshi has taught international trade law and arbitration subjects on the BCL/MJur at Oxford since 2004. According to the UK-EU decision, the arbitrators were chosen as “persons whose independence is beyond doubt, who possess the qualification required for appointment to the highest judicial office in their respective countries or who are jurists of recognised competence, and who possess specialised knowledge or experience of Union law and public international law.” The decision was approved on 17 December and made public by the EU on 28 December and by the UK Cabinet Office on 30 December.
