Julian Applebaum

Julian Applebaum is an MPhil candidate at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies. He is researching the impact of legal regulations on the LGBTQ+ community, under the supervision of Prof. Linda Mulcahy.

His previous research focused on the history of transgender rights litigation in the United States. Prior to coming to Oxford, Julian graduated Summa Cum Laude at Macalester College (Saint Paul, Minnesota USA) and was nationally recognized as a Truman Scholar for his transgender rights advocacy and commitment to public service.
