Taixia Shen

Biography

Taixia Shen is associate professor of the Law School & Intellectual Property School of Jinan University in Canton of China. Her research fields are Human rights law, comparative law, Socio-Legal Studies, legislative law and technology law. She got her PhD at Renmin University of China, and got her L.L.M at the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. She was a Visiting Scholar in the European Court of Human Rights in 2012, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong in 2014 and in the CERIC of the Aix-Marseille University in 2016. She has published numerous articles and books concerning human rights education in China, the relationship between the intellectual property and human rights, the human rights protection mechanism of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, right to health and right to learn. She is elected as a Council Member of the Association of Legislation of China Law Society, Member of China Society for Human Rights Studies as well as and Guangdong Provincial Legislative Talent. Her work has been funded by a range of bodies including the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences of China and Ministry of Education of China.
