SSD Fixed-Term Researcher Support Fund

Applications are invited from fixed-term research staff for funding to support research and impact related activities, especially focusing on their career development as researchers. Departmental lecturers with a research component in their fixed-term contracts are eligible to apply. Permanent members of staff and students are not eligible.

Scope
Funding can be requested for any legitimate purpose identified by the applicant that addresses a clearly identified need. Support could include, but is not limited to:
- Travel and conference registration
- Training and courses
- Data purchase
- Professional Services
- Publishing Fees
- Short-term research assistance
- Workshop organisation
The following can also be considered but applicants should get in touch with Research Administration and the Division to discuss:
- Software costs
- Small equipment purchases
- Books
Duration and Value
Awards will normally be up to a maximum of £500 and be valid for six months.
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted through IRAMS. The deadline for the most recent round was 17 January 2024, 4pm.
Please notify Research Administration (research@law.ox.ac.uk) if you intend to apply at least 5 working days before the deadline.
