Exchange Programmes
Applications for the 2025–26 IECL Exchange Programmes are now open.
You are invited to apply to the IECL Exchange Programme. This Programme provides opportunities to spend a short time at one of our partner institutions. Our exchange opportunities are open to every postholder (Faculty or College level) and PGRs in the Faculty of Law or its Centres, though some give preference to PGR students. Each exchange runs between March and September of the 2025–26 academic year, except the EUI exchange, which runs from October to June of the 2026–27 academic year.
Detailed in each individual advert you will find information relating to accommodation, facilities (e.g. library access), funding and involvement with your chosen institution, as well as any eligibility criteria. No exchange partner will require you to know the local language or to teach, but you are expected to participate in the general academic environment, including attending seminars and potentially presenting your work. A summary table of the exchange opportunities is provided below.
How to Apply
Applications should be submitted via this Form by 12:00 noon on Friday of Week 0, Hilary Term (16 January 2026), which will be considered by the IECL Management Committee at its Hilary Term (Week 4) meeting.
You will need to include:
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV), including a list of publications;
- A brief research proposal, including why a visit to the affiliated institution will contribute to your research;
- If applying as a PGR: a supporting letter from your supervisor is required.
