“The Brawn Review”: Boardroom Sustainability, Inclusion, and Governance

Miranda K Brawn is a Visiting Fellow at Keble College. She will be lecturing and researching “The Brawn Review”, an independent research report on boardroom diversity, inclusion, sustainability and corporate governance intended for publication in 2023.

She is the Founder, President and CEO of award-winning registered Charity ‘The Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Foundation’. In 2021, The Foundation partnered with the University of Oxford for an initial five years to offer the ‘Miranda Brawn Award’ to UK Black, Bangladeshi, Pakistani and mixed heritage undergraduates from low-income households. The Foundation has been making UK history since 2016, when it launched the first diversity leadership lecture of its kind, alongside offering scholarships to BAME students and more recently launching the UK’s first Black Women on Boards initiative.  The lecture is an occasion to celebrate Black History Month in October 2022.

London born and raised, Miranda Brawn is a multi-award winning British businesswoman with a portfolio career as a board advisor, non-executive director, lawyer, philanthropist and international public speaker. She started her multi-decade career as an investment banker, financial executive and hedge fund sales trader. Find out more here.

Miranda Brawn’s lecture at Keble College will discuss why environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives matter. She will focus on the inclusive and sustainable future that she envisions as a corporate board director and founder of her eponymous Diversity Leadership Foundation and a researcher of “The Brawn Review”.

Attendees of the event will learn about how to apply sustainability and inclusion in their daily and working lives. Students will have the opportunity to attend a speed mentoring and networking session with senior professionals from different UK workplace sectors.
