Advocate General Michal Bobek is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of 3rd assistant (AST/SC3) in his chambers as from September 2016 (or as soon as possible thereafter).
The position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic international team and contribute to high level analysis and development of European Union law. The main tasks of the post include legal research, participation in the drafting of various documents, document control and improvement (proofreading, corrections, and polishing of English texts). In addition, depending on qualifications and experience, gradual participation in and contribution to substantive legal discussion and analysis within the chambers will be encouraged.
The working language of the chambers is English. For many questions, the working language of the Court of Justice is French. Thus, an excellent knowledge of English and a working knowledge of French are required. The knowledge of any other Union language is considered an advantage.
The nature of the work requires attention to detail, a high level of linguistic precision and clarity in English, as well as respect for deadlines. An open mind and the ability to cooperate in an international environment are essential.
