It is easy to take for granted today the existence of Indian global expansion across the world but this is a story that only really began 6 years ago with the acquisition of Corus by Tata Steel in competition with the Brazilians. This presentation will focus on a remarkable story of expansion across more than 100 countries in multiple sectors. There will be a detailed insight into three high-profile deals: the two biggest cross border deals out of India - Tata Steel's $12b acquisition of Corus and Bharti Airtel's $10b acquisition of Zain Africa, a telecoms business across 15 African countries - and also the acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover by Tata Motors, perhaps the most successful of all deals done to date.
