One year on, the recommendations of the Hargreaves Review of Intellectual Property, published as Digital Opportuntity: A Review of Intellectual Property and Growth, May 2011, are the subject of further government research and policy design. Professor Greenhalgh will consider from an economist's perspective what progress is being made in making the UK Intellectual Property Rights system fit for purpose in the digital age and able to promote innovation and economic growth. She will also consider whether there are further dimensions of IP policy that were not considered by Hargreaves but which are crucial to achieving these aims.
