Section 4 of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill proposes to change ‘trespassing’ from a civil to a criminal offence. If convicted, sentences range from a £2500 fine, a prison sentence, or the confiscation of the vehicle situated on the land. The Gryphon Society sits down with writer Damian Le Bas and activists Jake Bowers and Sherrie Smith to discuss how the bill is due to affect Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller (GRT) communities.
