Who Regulates the Regulators: Issues of Accountability and Liability

In the wake of the FSA Chairman Lord Turner's admission that, “Today’s regulators are the inheritors of a half century long policy error, in which we have allowed private sector banks to pursue their private interest in maximising leverage levels”, we ask: Who Regulates the Regulators?

 This workshop will assess the responsibility of regulators to those who are affected by their actions and to examine the remedies, legal and administrative, available to them.
