Nikiforos’s research examines the relationship between international and domestic courts with respect to the interpretation and application of international law; his current research focuses on the ways in which the European Court of Human Rights engages with domestic court pronouncements on points of international law.

Nikiforos has studied law in Athens (LL.B. and LL.M. in Public Law) and in Oxford (MJur). He previously worked as a lawyer-linguist (trainee) at the European Parliament in Brussels, and he practiced law in Athens. He is a member of the Bar in Athens, Greece.
