British Academy Global Professorship: Researcher

Grade 6: £32,332- £38,205 per annum

Reporting to the Principal Investigator/British Academy Global Professor, the post-holder is a member of a research group with responsibility for the provision of research support during a specific phase of a multi-year research project funded by the British Academy, Addressing the Digital Realm through the Grammar of Human Rights Law.

The post-holder will support and assist the Principal Investigator/British Academy Global Professor in his research towards the completion of the project, including research assistance related to a project monograph; manage their own research and administrative activities, within guidelines provided by senior colleagues; contribute to wider project planning, including ideas for new research projects; select, follow, and adapt specialist methodologies to confirm or refute theories, and identify suitable alternatives where information or research material is restricted and contribute to the design of research materials and make arrangements for data gathering

The successful candidate will hold a master’s degree in law, together with some relevant experience; possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within the project; ability to manage own research and administrative activities; excellent communication skills, including  the ability to write text that can be published, present data at conferences, and represent the research group at meetings

This post is full time  and fixed term from 1 January 2024 until 30 June 2024.  The postholder will be based at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights, Faculty of Law, Mansfield College, Oxford, OX1 3TF
