Admissions and Outreach Officer

Grade 6: £29,176 - £34,804 per annum
Applications are invited for the full time, permanent position of Admissions and Outreach Officer. The postholder will provide administrative lead to the Faculty for all aspects of undergraduate admissions and support and develop the Faculty’s outreach provision, promoting the study of Law at university to the widest possible range of potential students through a range of access initiatives. The Faculty is currently working on a few new initiatives in which this postholder will be responsible for; the admissions review, the Bridging Programme and Foundation Year. The postholder is required to engage with these initiatives and ensure that they are successfully implemented. The postholder will work closely as a team with the Baker McKenzie Access Officer.
Applicants must be educated to a degree level with some previous experience in a similar role; be capable of using a variety of software systems, to understand and support complex administrative systems and processes; the ability to work independently and as part of team; strong organisation skills and a flexible and confident approach when dealing with Faculty members, students and members of the public.
There are a few times in the year when overtime will be required, in particular during the busiest days of the Undergraduate Admissions exercise in November and December, and some evenings and weekend events. Some travel away from Oxford may be required, for example day trips to London with the summer school participants.
