Apprentice Business Systems Administrator

Apprentice Grade 1 £17,079 (salary progression through successful completion of programme)

The Faculty of Law in the University of Oxford seeks to recruit an Apprentice Business Systems Administrator.  This role will focus principally on Human Resources (HR) and Personnel support, providing assistance to the Personnel Officer and acquiring experience and expertise in a range of HR and related clerical support.  This will include supporting processes for advertising and recruiting to all types of vacancy; learning about payment processes and financial information in order to provide first-line support for staff with enquiries about pay; undertaking training on Oracle Financials; attending staff meetings and learn how to arrange meetings using an on-line booking system.

You will be required to complete a 30- month training programme that will cover all aspects of the role and will be delivered through in-house training, as well as day-release or other distance learning methods delivered by Abingdon and Witney College. Depending on your previous experience and qualifications you will complete a Level 2 or Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship and you will gain the appropriate level of Diploma in Business Administration qualification. 

You should be educated to at least GSCE standard (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade 4 or above; be able to communicate clearly and accurately in writing, on the telephone and in person; able to demonstrate an aptitude for the skills taught in the Apprenticeship (for example through work experience, qualifications or references) and have an interest in acquiring a broad range of administrative skills and experience.

This role will not attract sufficient points to obtain a sponsored Tier 2 visa under the points-based immigration system, however applications are welcome from candidates who don’t currently have the right to work in the UK, but who would be eligible to obtain a visa via another route.
