Associate Professorship of Law and Tutorial Fellowship in Law

Salary £45,066 to £60,513 p.a., plus a housing allowance of £10,286 and a responsibility allowance of £1,495

The College and Faculty of Law seek to appoint an Associate Professor of Law to start at the beginning of the academic year 2017-2018, or soon thereafter.  This post is associated with a Tutorial Fellowship at Jesus College.  The intention is to appoint a Legal scholar with an outstanding record in research at international level and with a strong commitment to teaching.

The successful candidate must have an undergraduate degree; and a doctorate in a relevant subject or an established record of accomplishment in legal research, and a record of high quality research and publication commensurate with their career experience, and be able to provide teaching and supervision in at least two (and ideally three) of the following subjects for the College: Criminal Law, Contract, Tort, Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Trusts and EU Law, and for the Faculty to give lectures in subjects on its BA or MJur/BCL courses.  The total university and college stipend is on the scale £45,066 to £60,513 p.a., plus a housing allowance of £10,286 and a responsibility allowance of £1,495. The appointment will be pensionable under the USS scheme.
