The Centre for Socio-Legal Studies in the Faculty of Law is a multi-disciplinary research centre dedicated to the study of law in society. The Centre Administrator is a varied and interesting role, and is fundamental to the smooth running of the Centre. Under the day-to-day direction of the Centre Director, the postholder is responsible for research support and facilitation. He or she also provides general administrative support and advice to the Director and the Fellows of the Centre; will manage the Centre's space and resources and will line manage the administrative staff in the Centre. The postholder will be in regular contact with administrative staff in the Law Faculty, and will be accountable to the Head of Administration and Finance in the Law Faculty for the operational management of the Centre.

Candidates should have a good general level of education, preferably to degree level; relevant experience and interest in the area of research support and facilitation; experience of managing budgets and resources; up-to-date IT skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to deal tactfully and positively with a wide range of people.
