Course Administrator for the BCL and MJur (INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY)

The Faculty of Law seeks to appoint a Course Administrator to support a range of administrative functions for the BCL and MJur. These are one-year taught Master’s-level degrees requiring a high degree of professionalism in all aspects of administrative support for the teaching programme, examinations, and other assistance to the Academic Administrator and Associate Dean for Taught Graduate Studies.   The postholder will report to the Senior Administrator for Postgraduate Taught Courses but on a day-to-day basis will work with/under the direction of the Academic Administrator and liaise closely with the Examinations Officer, joining a team of staff involved in supporting the postgraduate taught courses in the Law Faculty.

The successful candidate should have proven administrative experience in a comparable role; an ability to produce very accurate work to deadlines, without close supervision, and prior experience of handling large amounts of data and information; capacity to understand and follow complex administrative systems and processes; evidence of a high standard of written and oral communication, with an ability to produce work to high professional standards; excellent organisational skills and efficient working methods, with an ability to manage and prioritise a number of competing tasks and be able to work independently, using their own initiative with good judgement for assessing when advice or approval is required.

This is a full time, fixed term position covering the permanent postholder whilst they are on secondment and would make an ideal secondment opportunity.
