Professor Mary Bosworth in the Centre for Criminology is looking for a small number of students to assist with running an online Border Criminologies event.

Duration and hours

Maximum number of hours of work: approximately 15 hours

Start date:  24 May 2021

End date: 26 May 2021


The Event Assistant(s) will report to Prof Mary Bosworth


Students are needed to assist with running the Zoom event (ie letting people in and ensuring there are no technical glitches) and with managing things like powerpoint presentations and other matters.


This position is open to current graduate research students in the Law Faculty or Centre for Criminology  and the hours are in line with the restrictions on working hours for students.  It is expected that the work will be undertaken in the UK.

Rate of Pay

This will be paid at the standard research assistant rate of £15.37 per hour (based on Grade 6 point 1)  plus holiday pay of £1.86 per hour worked (= total of £17.23/hour).


This position is funded by the Centre for Criminology (Border Criminologies budget)
