The Faculty of Law seeks to appoint a temporary External Education Administrator to provide support in a range of areas related to setting up a new summer school (being run on a trial basis), and providing temporary support to our two Vice Deans for the remainder of this academic year. The Administrator will report to the Faculty Personnel Officer, as there will also be a number of HR-related tasks involved; and will work closely with the Head of Administration and Finance, the Dean’s Executive Assistant & Events Co-ordinator, the Finance Manager, the Communications Manager, and a number of Faculty Officers (i.e. academics who hold temporary administrative roles in the Faculty).
The postholder will help to co-ordinate and manage various aspects of creating a pilot on-line summer school in July 2021, including marketing and publicity (including social media and new website content), organisation of course content, preparation of course materials. The postholder will also provide Personal Assistant support to the two Vice Deans of the Faculty of Law and the Head of Administration and Finance; and undertake a number of specific HR tasks (including running reports from CoreHR and supporting process changes).
The successful candidate should be educated to A level standard or equivalent; trained and experienced at using CoreHR; have experience of working in a PA, events or HR team; be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively manage a varied workload, and be able to produce accurate, detailed work within prescribed deadlines.
The post is full time and fixed term until 31 August 2021.
