Harris Manchester College - Non-stipendiary Lecturer in Tort Law
Harris Manchester College proposes to appoint a non-stipendiary lecturer in Tort law, with effect from 1 April 2016 for a period of Trinity term to cover maternity leave of one of the law tutors. The successful candidate will become a full member of the Senior Common Room.
The post is non-stipendiary, but the successful candidate will be paid a retainer of £50 per Harris Manchester student whose studies the candidate directs, in addition to receiving payments for tutorials and collection marking at the standard rate. He or she will be entitled to full dining rights (free breakfasts, lunches and dinners during term time) and will receive a small book allowance. No office will be provided but he or she will have use of a hot desk room and will be able to book college rooms.
The successful candidate will teach Tort law, including revision classes and tutorials, and will have Director of Studies responsibilities for the first and second year law students.
