The Faculty of Law seeks to appoint an Institute Administrator for the new Bonavero Institute of Human Rights.  The Institute is due to open in new premises in Mansfield College in September 2017, and as well as offices will have a seminar room, a large working space for graduate students, postdocs and visitors, and a lecture theatre that is shared with the College.

Under the day-to-day direction of the Institute Director, the Administrator will provide a broad range of administrative, financial and practical support to the Institute and its senior staff, including research facilitation (pre- and post-award), general administration and management of the Centre’s resources, and the line management of any administrative staff in the Centre.

Applicants must have excellent administration skills; an appropriate level of experience in research facilitation and post-award support; be educated to degree level or equivalent; have experience of resource management, including budgeting and planning in a complex financial environment; strong IT skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; and the ability to use initiative and judgement to prioritise a range of complex tasks and competing demands under pressure. 

Previous experience of the management of complex, high-profile projects, preferably within an academic environment is desirable.
