Law Faculty: British Academy Post-Doc Fellowship Workshop

Date: 10 June 2019

Karen and Tracey are running a workshop for anyone interested in applying for an Early Career Fellowship (either immediately or in the future).

When: 10th June 2019
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
Where: Law Faculty Board Room

The focus of this workshop will be the British Academy Post-Doctoral Fellowship.  This is an annual scheme and the next deadline is 17 October 2019.

The Social Sciences Division is also running a workshop on the British Academy Post-Doctoral Fellowship on the 12th June 2019.  There will be some overlap, but generally, the 10th June workshop is for anyone who is just starting to think about Fellowships.  You may be in your first or second year of your DPhil and trying to understand the options,  or you may be clear that this is the scheme you want to apply to.  The Social Sciences Division Workshop will focus more on the October 2019 deadline, and so will assume some basic understanding of the scheme.  It would be fine to attend both if you wanted to.

Our workshop on the 10th June will cover some of the basics of fellowship applications.  You don't need to have identified a mentor within the Law Faculty and no question is too silly to ask!

Two current British Academy Post-Doc Fellows from the Faculty will also be attending to talk you through their application process and their experience of running a BA post-doc project.

Please let us know if you plan to attend as places will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis: research@law.ox.ac.uk
