Linklaters Oxford Law Ambassadors (x15)

Deadline date: 18 April 2022

INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

The Law Faculty Outreach team is looking for ~15 Linklaters Oxford Law Ambassadors to help with representing the Law Faculty to the outside world, and particularly to prospective applicants. This will involve meeting prospective students at Faculty and University open days, offering guidance on the Law admissions process, visiting schools (in-person/virtually) to give personalised talks as part of the Law faculty’s outreach programmes. Assisting the Access and Outreach Officers with Law summer programmes (UNIQ/ExpLaw). Ambassadors have also assisted with creating new video content for the Law Faculty’s website and social media channels.

We are therefore looking for Ambassadors who reflect the diversity of the University and the Faculty itself.  You could come from any type of background, but you must be passionate about raising aspirations and awareness, about supporting widening access and participation schemes, and about the Oxford Faculty of Law.

We need students who are enthusiastic about Oxford Law, but who are also highly responsible. Prospective applicants are always interested in talking to current students, so it’s really important to us that you have all the correct information about applying and studying here, and can confidently answer admissions enquiries, talk about the courses, and direct applicants to the information they need.

Duration and hours

Maximum number of hours of work per week:  All Ambassadors will be required to carry out AT LEAST ONE visit (can be virtual) to a UK state school and to work a full shift on AT LEAST ONE Faculty Taster Day (usually a 3 day event).
