The Faculty of Law seeks to appoint a Departmental Lecturer to provide replacement teaching for Professor Ariel Ezrachi during his buyout funded by a Leverhulme research grant. The purpose of the appointment will be to engage in advanced study and primarily lecture and teach undergraduate and graduate students, and to conduct some independent research.
The postholder will undertake advanced academic study to underpin tutorials and lectures. The postholder will deliver several lectures in the undergraduate FHS Competition law and policy course, as well as offer tutorials to graduate students taking the BCL/MJur Competition law course. The postholder will be expected to produce lecture and tutorial notes for students, power point presentations to accompany the lectures, schedule and coordinate the tutorial sessions for undergraduate and graduate students, mark essays, and engage in assessment and university examining, acting as a setter and first marker for the undergraduate FHS Competition Law and Policy course.
Candidates should hold a relevant postgraduate studies (preferably a doctorate) qualification; have past experience of teaching and research in the area of EU competition law and a publication record and familiarity with the existing literature and research in the field.
This post is part time and fixed term for 1 year (2020/21 academic year) and will be based at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL.
