Part-time Institute Events Coordinator, Bonavero Institute of Human Rights

The Faculty of Law seeks to appoint an Events Coordinator for the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights to co-ordinate the programming of events including conferences, seminars and academic events at the Institute.
Under the line management and day-to-day supervision of the Institute Administrator the Events Coordinator will provide a broad range of administrative and practical support for events, including events facilitation and general administration of the Centre’s events resources (such as updating the events website postings, social media event postings, and shared room calendars).
The administrative team at the Institute are also members of the administrative team at the Law Faculty, led by the Head of Administration and Finance at Law. The Events Co-ordinator will be encouraged (timetable allowing) to spend up to half a day a week attending meetings at and/or working from the St. Cross Building.
Applicants must have evidence of administrative skills and a firm understanding of the administrative processes relevant to the role; the ability to be flexible, to change focus depending on requirements and working non-standard hours as appropriate and able to work well in a collaborative team; be able to co-ordinate multiple events, ranging in type and size; ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people such as senior academics, close colleagues, external partners and speakers and excellent communication skills and a high standard of literacy.
An awareness of GDPR and information security policies and procedures and experience of using databases and content management systems (CMS) for developing and maintaining websites (knowledge of Drupal, an advantage) and a desktop and digital publishing tools, such as InDesign is desirable.
The post is part-time (0.6 FTE or 21.9 hours per week) and will be based at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights, Mansfield College.
The post holder may be expected to support out-of-normal-hours events from time to time. If the post holder works outside normal hours then this will usually result in time off in lieu (TOIL). Overtime payments may be pre-agreed, where appropriate
