Part-time Research Administrator (internal applicants only)

Grade 6: £29,176 - £34, 804 per annum (pro rata)

The Faculty of Law seeks to appoint a fixed-term Research Administrator.  This is an opportunity for someone with experience of a research facilitation role in the University to obtain experience of pre- and post-award support, perhaps at a more senior level or with different funders. 

The postholder will be responsible for the management of some of the Faculty’s grants, as well as providing some pre-award support.  Working under the management of the Faculty’s Research Facilitator, the postholder will be part of a team of research and centre staff. 

The postholder should have recent experience of financial or research grants administration; experience of using Oracle and X5; excellent IT skills; be able to create reports, analyse and understand financial data with the ability to identify anomalies; the capacity to understand a range of funder rules and University financial requirements and apply these accurately and convey them to colleagues in an effective way.
 

The role is part time (0.6 FTE or 22.5 hours per week) and fixed term for 5 months and could be offered as a secondment
