The University of Oxford is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill the Professorship of Jurisprudence. The successful candidate will provide leadership in teaching and research at the highest level in the field of jurisprudence (legal philosophy), broadly defined, and will maintain and enhance the Law Faculty’s unrivalled global reputation for excellence in this scholarly field.

The successful candidate will have an outstanding record of scholarship in the field of jurisprudence, the ability to teach and supervise high-achieving students at all levels and proven or potential intellectual leadership skills. She or he will be expected to contribute to the long-term development of the study of jurisprudence both within Oxford and in the wider academic community.
