Programmes Manager, Bonavero Institute of Human Rights

Grade 7: £32,817 - £40,322 per annum

The Bonavero Institute of Human Rights are looking to appoint a Programmes Manager to assist in the management of programmes.  The Programme Manager will both support the Head of Programmes and take over part of the portfolio of responsibilities of the Head of Programmes who will be on maternity leave during 2020.  

The Programmes Manager will report to the Director of the Institute and will be responsible for overseeing the Institute’s Programmes.  The postholder will be expected to manage the existing programmes for the Institute, including the Monroe Price Moot Court Competition; support the efficient working of the Institute on a day-to-day basis; provide support to Research Visitors, Graduate Student Residents at the Institute and the Human Rights Network partners of the Institute and pursue his or her own research projects (up to 20% of time).

The successful candidate should have a postgraduate degree in Law (or related field), completed or nearing completion, or equivalent practical experience; a demonstrable commitment to human rights and the rule of law; programme and project management skills, including the running of conferences and the ability to plan, prioritise and manage resources in order to meet timescales.  Relevant experience in managing programmes similar to those run by the Bonavero Institute, for example in a university, a national or international NGO, international organisation, tribunal or in the legal profession is desirable.

The post is available from the 1 January 2020 and is a fixed term, full time, maternity cover role until 31 December 2020.
