RA in civil procedure and commercial arbitration

Professor Ewan McKendrick is looking for one research assistant to help with a book on civil procedure and commercial arbitration.

Duration and hours

The work is to start on 1 June 2016 and will run until 31 July 2016.

The hours will vary, but the assistant will be expected to work between 40-60 hours over the course of the engagement.

Reporting

The post will report to Professor McKendrick.

Requirements

A general understanding of the field of law is essential.

Applicants must also have a very good working knowledge of civil procedure and arbitration.

Good admin and IT skills are essential.

The work can be done in any place where you have access to a good library, but you must be able to travel to Oxford for occasional meetings during the summer break.

Eligibility

This post is open to current graduate research students in the Law Faculty and the hours are in line with the restrictions on working hours for students.

Rate of Pay

This will be paid at the standard research assistant rate of £14.01/hour plus holiday pay of £1.69 = total of £15.70

Funding

This post is funded by a Research Allowance.
