Research Administrator (internal applicants only)

The Faculty of Law seeks to appoint a Research Administrator. The postholder will principally provide
post-award support to Principal Investigators holding grants, but will also include some pre-award support as well as supporting the Law Faculty’s Research Support Fund and some more general research-related personnel and finance functions. The postholder will be line managed by the Research Facilitator, and will be an important member of a team of research and centre staff.
Applicants must have proven experience of financial or research grants administration; have excellent numeracy skills: be able to summarise, analyse and understand financial data, with the ability to identify anomalies; have a good general level of education, including Mathematics and English (grades A* - C) to GCSE or equivalent standard; be a team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), with the capacity to produce accurate work even under pressure; be able to understand a complex range of funder rules and University financial requirements, and to apply these accurately, and be able to convey them to colleagues in an effective way.
This is a full time, permanent post.
