Professor Dev Gangjee is looking for two research assistants to help with a mapping report for the Oxford IP Research Centre (OIPRC).
This project would include producing one-page reports on the following centres plus a thematic introduction which points out certain themes of interest:
- the leading IP Centres in the UK, the EU and the USA
- other centres at the Law Faculty
- Other relevant centres and projects within Oxford looking at Innovation
Duration and hours
Total number of hours of work available: 17 hours per research assistant
Start date: ASAP
Date by which the work must be completed: 11 March 2022
Reporting
The Research Assistant will report to Professor Dev Gangjee
Requirements
- A general understanding of Intellectual Property law is essential
- Demonstrable experience of working on collaborative research projects is desirable
- Prior research and publication experience is desirable
- Good admin and IT skills are essential.
- The work can be done in any place where you have access to reliable internet connectivity.
Eligibility
This position is open to current graduate research students in Intellectual Property at the Law Faculty and the hours are in line with the restrictions on working hours for students. It is expected that the work will be undertaken in the UK.
Rate of Pay
12 weeks or less (casual engagement): This will be paid at the standard research assistant rate of £15.60 per hour (based on Grade 6 point 1) plus holiday pay of £1.88 per hour worked (= total of £17.48/hour).
Funding
This position is funded by the OIPRC Director’s discretionary budget.
