Social Sciences Excellence in Impact Awards – nominations now open!

Do you use social sciences research to make a difference beyond academia and have a story worth celebrating? Or do you know someone who does?

We are excited to announce full details of the prize competition to recognise and reward social sciences researchers who have achieved, or are currently achieving, excellent economic and societal impacts. The awards ceremony will take place at St Anne's College on the evening of Thursday 19 April 2018, following the impact conference hosted by the new Head of the Social Sciences Division, Professor Sarah Whatmore FBA FAcSS. A prize of £5,000 will be awarded to the overall Impact Champion(s), with three other winners awarded £2,500 each. There will also be a special prize for Early Career Impact Champion of £2,500.

The deadline for submissions is 05 March 2018, 5pm. Please notify Karen, Elizabeth or Adina if you wish to submit a nomination by Friday 23rd February 2018. We can assist you with your application if helpful.
