Events Manager

Grade 6: £32,332 - £38,205 per annum

The Faculty of Law has an exciting opportunity with a new role for an Events Manager. This role has been created to support the faculty’s demand for events support. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has experience in events management. The postholder will manage a range of events both internal and external to the faculty including high profile and regular academic and student events. The postholder will report to our Executive Assistant to the Dean and Events Co-ordinator.  They will work closely with various Course Administrators and academic/Faculty Officer leads for events. 

The Events Manager will have excellent organizational skills and able to prioritise a range of tasks simultaneously; they’ll be able to collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders and effectively organise, train and manage temporary assistance; excellent communication skills are essential, both written and oral with a wide range of individuals; they’ll have a sound understanding of financial planning, reporting, budgeting and budget management; ability to find creative solutions to problems; willingness and availability to work flexibly, including outside normal office hours, and to travel to events outside Oxford if required. Experience of risk management, project management and Drupal content management would be desirable as well.

The role is full time and permanent. The Faculty of Law supports flexible remote working; at present staff are required to work on site for at least 40% of their time, however, flexible working arrangements are negotiable with the Line Manager due to the nature of this role.
