Fountain Court is a long established and substantial set of commercial barristers, based in the Temple, London, but also with new offices in Singapore’s financial district.

Members of Chambers are recognised as leaders in the field of commercial disputes, for clients both in the UK and overseas, offering expertise in a wide range of practice areas and modes of dispute resolution.

Fountain Court has long been regarded as a premier set within the ‘magic circle’ of leading commercial sets of barristers in London. Its members have been involved in most of the most significant pieces of commercial litigation to come to trial over the past few decades and we expect that trend to continue into the future.

The set has a distinguished record of being involved in cases making new law, whether in the House of Lords, the Supreme Court, the Privy Council, the Court of Appeal or at first instance.

Members have also appeared in other jurisdictions including in the Caribbean, Hong Kong, Singapore, and in the European Court of Human Rights and the European Court of Justice.

Some of our members have gone on to become Law Lords, Court of Appeal and High Court judges, or to take positions in the United Kingdom government, including as Lord Chancellor, Attorney-General and Solicitor-General. Others make up the ranks of international arbitrators in which they have a distinguished reputation.
