Professor Nathan S. Chapman (Georgia) uses Alasdair MacIntyre’s theory of a moral tradition to analyse the American theory and practice of judicial review, suggesting revisions to the current map of constitutional theories (originalist/non-originalist) and arguing that interpretive pluralism may be inevitable and, indeed, the sign of a healthy, if imperfect, tradition. Responses from Professor Richard Ekins (St John’s, Oxford) and Professor Fernando Simón Yarza (Oxford / Navarre).
