Being a South Square scholar has had a hugely positive impact on my experience at Oxford.
I was drawn to the BCL due to the course’s reputation as one of the most academically rigorous and respected legal qualifications worldwide and was excited to learn closely from leading academics in my fields of interest. The tutorial system has been very enriching as it provides a more direct and close contact with the tutors and facilitates deep learning and debate.
I am truly incredibly grateful to the University of Oxford and South Square Chambers for offering me the BCL scholarship. Without it, I probably would not have been able to afford to study the degree in the first place, and so I will always be grateful that I have been provided this opportunity.
After completing the BCL, I will begin my training and practice as a commercial lawyer in London. It has always been a dream of mine to work with some of the brightest legal minds on industry leading cases, and so I am incredibly excited to start.
