Oxford students win the 2011 Oxford French Law Moot
The fourth Oxford French Law Moot, sponsored by French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel, was held in Oxford on 14 March. Sixteen teams from all over Europe attended to compete in the moot which concerned an individual's right to a private life and a newspaper's freedom of expression, a problem involving both French and European law. The judges were impressed by the students' level of legal analysis and depth of research and, after beating of King's College London in the final, declare Oxford's Conor McLaughlin (Balliol College) and Rosanna Thomson (St Hilda's College) to be this year's winners.
