Oxford Bar Society Garden Party, 5 May 2013

In the past eighteen months the Oxford Bar Society has established itself as the focal point for those at the University of Oxford interested in careers at the Bar. We have hosted barristers from across the profession including Lord Kerr, Lord Reed, Baroness Hale, Cherie Booth QC, Michael Mansfield QC and Edward Fitzgerald QC. Academic debate has been fuelled by our legal discussions on human rights, family law and medical law. We have been joined by many chambers, organisations and individuals including Professor Jonathan Herring, Peter Hitchens and Amicus. The dedicated and hardworking committee have ensured that strong links have been fostered with each of the Inns of Court and many sets who have contributed to events held each term in Oxford and London.

We are celebrating our second year by hosting a Garden Party on Sunday 5th May 2013 at 2pm in Jesus College. We are inviting all Oxford alumni who have gone on to careers at the Bar to join us for this summer’s afternoon of sparkling wine and nibbles in one of our most beautiful colleges. Attending the event will be an opportunity to meet old friends and the next generation of budding barristers who are currently studying at Oxford as well as to support the Oxford Bar Society in its endeavours to promote access to the Bar.
To attend the event, please RSVP to: president@oxfordbarsoc.com. The cost to alumni will be £25
