The Oxford Human Rights Hub is pleased to announce a call for papers for a major global conference on 'Women and Poverty: A Human Rights Perspective' to be held in Kigali, Rwanda on April 28-30, 2014. This conference will bring together and foster a network among leading academics in various disciplines, legal practitioners, prominent local, regional and international NGOs, human rights bodies, governmental officials, doctoral students and early career researchers working in poverty, gender equality and human rights. This conference is being held by the Oxford Human Rights Hub in partnership with the Oxford Martin School’s Human Rights for Future Generations Programme, Professor Evance Kalula, of the University of Cape Town, and Dr Emmanuel Ugirashebuja, the Dean of the Law School at the National University of Rwanda, with the support of the Chief Justice Sam Rugege, Chief Justice of Rwanda.
