Dan Awrey, University Lecturer in Law & Finance, Georg Ringe, Departmental Lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Professor of Commercial Law at Copenhagen Business School, and Geneviève Helleringer, Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow, are amongst the first editors of the new Journal of Financial Regulation to be published by Oxford University Press. Other editors include Chris Brummer (Georgetown), Marco Ventoruzzo (Bocconi University) and Thierry Bonneau (University Paris II Panthéon-Assas).

The Journal of Financial Regulation (JFR) is intended as an international forum for the publication of world-class scholarship examining theoretical, policy and practice-oriented issues relating to the regulation of financial markets and institutions. The JFR will seek to publish scholarship which examines these issues from an interdisciplinary, international, and comparative perspective. In furtherance of this objective, the JFR has assembled a diverse and internationally recognized editorial board including Howell Jackson (Harvard), Doug Arner (Hong Kong), Julia Black (London School of Economics), Eilis Ferran (Cambridge), Paul Davies (Oxford), Roberta Romano (Yale) and Zhongfei Zhou (Shanghai).

“The JFR will continue to strengthen Oxford’s leadership in the area of financial law and policy”, said Awrey. “Our ambition it to make the JFR a leading international forum for interdisciplinary scholarship exploring this exciting, important and constantly evolving field.”

The launch conference for the Journal of Financial Regulation is planned for 11-12 July 2014 in Paris on the subject of Regulating Moral Hazard. The first issue of the journal will be published in early 2015.
