Call for Abstracts: International Law - Postgraduate Colloquium Oxford/Cambridge/UCL - deadline 30 April 2014

The deadline on the attached the Call for Abstracts for the Oxford/Cambridge/UCL Colloquium on Current Problems in International Law has been extended to Sunday 11 May 2014. We encourage the submission of abstracts on work in progress.

Call for Abstracts

We invite abstracts of between 250 and 500 words on topics relating to public international law from doctoral students in any year of their research who are affiliated with Oxford, Cambridge or UCL.

Presentations will take place in panels the chairs of which include Prof. James R. Crawford (Cambridge), Prof. Catherine Redgwell (Oxford) and Dr. Douglas Guilfoyle (UCL).

Provisional topics of the panels may include, but are not limited to:

  •          Theory in International Law
  •          Sources of International Law
  •          Law of the Sea
  •          Settlement of International Disputes
  •          International Economic Law
  •          Human Rights
  •          Responsibility in International Law
  •          International Organizations

There is no word limit for papers as such. However, there will be a time restriction on papers as delivered. Abstracts should be submitted no later than 30 April 2014 to jennifer.hassan@law.ox.ac.uk. Participants will be notified in early May.
