A drinks reception was held on 1 May at the Ashmolean Museum. The event was organised by the graduate law students and kindly supported by the Law Faculty. It comprised students from all graduate degrees in Oxford, viz. BCL, MJur, MLF and research students, as well as a number of faculty members, thereby marking the first time an Oxford Law Faculty event brought graduate students from all different degrees together in one venue midway through the academic year. Dean Endicott welcomed the students on behalf of the Law Faculty and gave a speech on his recent trip to Rwanda. He reminded the students that the current Chief of Justice of Rwanda, Professor Sam Rugege, was once a BCL student like them, and hence they should not be afraid to ‘think big’. The student reps are particularly indebted to Ms Michelle Robb for her valuable work in organising this event.
