This week the St Cross Building has been spectacularly lit-up to highlight the three magnificent squares which are central to the design of the building, all in preparation for the celebrations to mark 50 years of the St Cross Building.

On Friday 17 October, hundreds of alumni are expected at a panel discussion given by Professor Timothy Endicott, Professor Francis Reynolds, Sir Richard Buxton, Professor John Eekelaar and Baroness Ruth Deech, followed by a reception.

The bright colours were chosen to emphasise the 1960s architecture: for the English Faculty Library, we used yellow which is one of their corporate colours; the Bodleian Law Library was red to link to their logo; and we chose a traditional Oxford blue for the Law Faculty’s box.
