The University of Oxford has continued its successful record in the Jessup moot competition. On 1 March 2015, the team from Oxford competed in the Grand Final of the United Kingdom national rounds of the 56th Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, held at Gray’s Inn, London.
The Oxford team was the highest ranked team after the preliminary rounds, and after success in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, was defeated by the London School of Economics in a close final.
The members of the team are second year undergraduates Laura King (Merton), Fibi Ward (Keble), Sakinah Sat (St Catherine’s), Esther Wong (Oriel) and Tinny Chan (Merton). Their coach is Stefanie Wilkins (DPhil candidate, Corpus Christi).

Oxford and LSE will now progress to the International Rounds of the competition, which will be held from 5 to 11 April 2015 in Washington DC.
