The PIL group and the convenor of the IDS course of the BCL/MJur (Professor Antonios Tzanakopoulos) organised again this year a trip to The Hague for IDS students of the BCL/MJur. The students visited the International Court of Justice, where they met with ICJ Judges Greenwood and Crawford, Registrar Couvreur, as well as Counsel for Nicaragua and Chile Pellet and Wordsworth respectively. They sat in the hearings of the case regarding the construction of a road between Nicaragua and Chile in the Great Hall of Justice. They also visited the Permanent Court of Arbitration, and met with Legal Officer Pullkowski.

Dame Rosalyn Higgins, Former President, International Court of Justice; Secretary-General Professor Yves Daudet, The Hague Academy of International Law; Mr Iain Macleod, The Legal Adviser, Foreign and Commonwealth Office; and Professor Dan Sarooshi, Oxford Faculty of Law.
