International Lawyers for Africa Public International Law Lecture Series

In keeping with previous years, the Oxford Law Faculty hosted the International Lawyers for Africa Programme for a one-day lecture series on Public International Law on the 8th of October 2015. 

The mission of the ILFA is to build legal excellence in Africa by providing access to advanced legal training, networking opportunities, and education for African lawyers and senior professionals engaged in the negotiation of complex transactions in Africa. The Programme facilitates opportunities for African lawyers to take part in a three-month secondment at international law firms and corporations based in London, Paris, and Dubai. 

This year, a group of 16 lawyers travelled to Oxford to attend lectures on International Law and Diplomacy, International Dispute Settlement and Jurisdiction in International Law. Each of these sessions generated engaging discussions and debates.

The Public International Law Group looks forward to welcoming the ILFA Programme again next year!
